– Pashupati Bhandari
It was on the month of April, the heat was to its extreme and so were the modes of oppressive government. We marched; hearts were fretted, hunger was to its climax, eyes were enraged, yet we were determined. All together we were 40. As soon as we reached our office we were barred to enter our office by 400 security forces guarding the premises. They attacked ruthlessly when we disobeyed and questioned our rights. Then all of a sudden baton, gust of machine guns and boots started to fall rampantly on us, still we 40 students stood united and were not desperate.
However, my energies were drained. My body could not bear these indiscriminate beatings; I was down after an intentional baton charge on my head. I fainted. Then together with my friends we were thrown into a truck. There beatings did not stop rather they had an advantage of the narrow space to corner us and charge. When I regained semi consciousness I was lying in the hospital bed with my swollen head, anytime to burst. Ironically, with no medical attendants. Doctors and Nurses were not allowed to attend me. The oppressors had left leaving a freedom fighters shattered body.
