CPN UML Office raided

Today afternoon a group of police raided without pre-information the Central office of CPN (UML). They vandalize office and manhandle office staff including some senior leaders. The group which includes plain cloth personals who were covering their face with black cloths.
Central leaders who were preventing such unauthorized act of the security cops were given reason that "they were looking for some of the 'wanted' UML leaders and activists".
Till preparing this note, the police are still surrounding UML office. Meanwhile in a press statement the CPN UML has strongly condemned such attacked.
This morning the UML had organized a brief mourning-gathering to pay last homage to Mrs. Sadhana Adhikari- one of the veteran women leader of the 1950s democratic movement of the country. Mrs. Adhikari who was the widow of late Man Mohan Adhikari- the former prime minister as well as the Chairman of CPN UML passed away yesterday afternoon. Her dead-body was kept in the party office from 10 AM -1:00 PM today where leaders of various political parties including former PM Girija Prasad Koirala and Sher Bahadur Deuba visited to pay their respect. The police attacked in the Party office just after her body was driven to Aryaghat.
